Very, very conflicted

Well, I talked to the realtor today. Alas, my house isn’t worth as much as I had hoped. So, looks like I will be living here at least another year. However, since the weather is so beautiful, and the spring peepers are in full chorus, this is not really such a bad thing. Also, [...]

not quite what I meant…

I’m hitting the home stretch on my grant, and I realized last night that I had written past the point where I made sense. I’m trying to get the feds to give me money to develop an environmental education website for teachers. I was trying to explain why we didn’t want it to [...]

Oops

Well, it got up to 43 degrees today. Close enough!
The crocuses (croci?) finally were able to bloom–almost a month later than last year.
I hired the neighbor’s teenager to come over and cut up some more wood with his chain saw. Eventually, I will get it all hauled off……
I spent some time puttering around [...]

It’s so true:

You [...]

The VNR from Hell

Gah! I remember how shocked all my students were at X. College when I showed them about VNRs, or video news releases. Now it looks like the Governator got caught using state funds for his own republican VNRs

Yay! Oh. Crap.

Well, that little warming trend didn’t last long! it was only 15F today. The fridge continued to smell funny, so I decided to try once more to find the source of the stink. (Removing the slimy drip pan didn’t do it.)
EEEEEWWWW.
Looks like a mouse climbed up into the motor, made a nest in the [...]

I’m baaaack

and I’m mighty disgruntled. (My mac was off at the shop having it’s fan replaced, which is why I haven’t been posting lately, BTW.)
The weather is lovely today. It was so warm, I opened up the back door to let some fresh air in.
PHEW! The back door has leaked and gotten all moldy. Time to [...]
