The cow abduction site is clearly a joke. Although I’m sure some people think their cows are at risk…

The Shajara stuff, though, seems legit. Or at least the guy is a real, known person, and has publicly discussed his ideas.

Alien cow abduction is a recent meme which exists primarily as a joke. It is a combination of two existing alien associated ideas; human abductions and cow mutilation. At present I am not aware of anyone seriously claiming that cows have been abducted by aliens. But it generally does not take that long for an idea to exist in the popular mind before it becomes an idea with actual proponents. I suspect that within a year or two someone will make serious claims about cow abduction.
