Bugwood

No, not more about insects and porn! This is one of the things I learned about at the Entomology meetings. Bugwood is a huge network to store and index Creative Commons photos and resources for agriculture and entomology.  Their mission is to:

“gather, create, maintain, promote the use of, and economically distribute digital information both as resources and as tools to enhance and complement information exchange and educational activities primarily in the fields of entomology, forestry, forest health and natural resources. “

Invasive.org is a part of the Bugwood Network, and is a great resource if you want to learn more about the many invasive species in the US. So if you’re looking for a photo of a dusky clearwing, search no further!
(Yes, this moth is also an awesome wasp mimic. And sesiids are very cool.)
