How to make a wasp cake

“At Cloth and Fodder, Beth J posted a HOWTO on making a delicious spider hunting wasp cake. It’s superzesty lemon cake with wings molded from toffee.”

OMG. Want!

The recipe is super lemony–maybe if I just start out small by making each part separately, and then work up to the big production number?

  1. Now that is the type of insect I think I could eat.

  2. It’s pretty cool. But is it the best cake ever? My vote is no.

  3. Um. EW!!

    I’m Shocked, Doug. Shocked!

In the spirit of chocolate Easter rabbits, I think one must start with the antennae and head. Come to think of it, other predators start with the head, too!

Girl, if you lived closer I’d bake it for you! (Of course, I would want to share.)
